Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to install the propel-lc System?
No, propel-lc is internet based and no software needs to be installed. The system is accessed by using a web browser by typing the internet address www.propel-lc.net. To read, email and print documents you need to install a copy of Adobe Reader go to http://get.adobe.com/reader.

What are the Hardware, Operating System, Printer and Scanner requirements for using propel-lc?
propel-lc demands the same requirements as Landonline eDealing. Refer www.landonline.govt.nz System Support. If you are currently using the eDealing software you will be able to use propel-lc with no changes. Many other internet browsers are compatible with propel-lc and can be used. However, we are unable to test all versions of all browsers so errors may be encountered (these will either be the propel-lc screens not displaying correctly or function buttons not working).

Unable to access the website – error
“There is a problem with this website’s security certificate” Some older internet browsers do not recognise modern security certificates. It is safe to click on the continue option. However, further action will be required to prevent the message being displayed again. Installing the latest version of the browser may fix this issue. If the issue persists it may be necessary to apply Microsoft updates to your computer.

Error message ‘The security certificate date is invalid’
The most likely cause of this error message is that the date on the user’s computer needs reset. Please check the computer date/time.

Unable to log in ‘Invalid User ID or password’?
Is the Web page address (URL) correct? Law firm staff should be using the Lawyer login page: https://propel-lc.net/LawyerPortal/Login.aspx. The password is case sensitive and must be typed exactly e.g. BIGsmall1

Not receiving email notifications
The current rules for email are that the conveyancing practitioner for the client's deal receives all email based on the email address in their propel-lc profile. Delegates receive copies of all email notifications sent to the conveyancing practitioner. You may set your own preferences for email for Post a Note (lender secure messages via propel-lc) by logging into propel-lc, click on My Profile and add additional email addresses under Notification Preferences.

Unable to accept a deal
Are you a Delegate? If so, the conveyancing practitioner for the deal must have set up the Trust Account Information correctly and checked Select All for the Lender Settlement Funds deposit. Have you entered a File Reference Number? This would normally be the same as your paper file.

Unable to download documents
Do you have the most recent version of Adobe installed on your computer? To get the latest version of Adobe Reader go to http://get.adobe.com/reader/ and select Download.

Unable to edit data in the Deal
Has the deal been accepted? Deals cannot be edited until they have been accepted. Have funds been confirmed by the Lender? Deals cannot be edited once funds have been confirmed.
Have you recently received a secure message Post a Note from the Lender? The note must be acknowledged by pressing Continue before the deal can be edited again.

Funds confirmation email has not been received
Have you uploaded and submitted the LAW Solicitors Certificate and Funds Request? The funds confirmation email is sent to the email address of the main coneyancing practitioner for the deal and to their delegates.

Propel-lc only accepts .tif or .pdf files to be uploaded
If your scanner produces a different file type e.g. .img the settings for your scanner need to be changed. Please review the documentation that came with your scanner or the scanner’s support website. The propel-lc Help Desk will try to assist if you have difficulty making the changes.

You have received a deal in propel-lc that you don’t think belongs to your Law Firm
The Lender selects the conveyancing practitioner and Law Firm based on their client’s request. However, if the deal has been sent to you in error you should Decline the deal and provide details of the new conveyancing practitioner if known. If the deal has already been Accepted, please make a Cancellation Request in propel-lc.

If you wish to return funds to the Lender
You should return the funds and Post a Note to the Lender. The propel-lc Help Desk will reset the status of the loan so the funds can be requested again. If the deal is no longer proceeding, you should return the funds and make a Cancellation Request.
